Fit As Gym – Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all members and users of Fit As Gym (“the Gym”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By joining as a member or using our facilities, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Membership & PAYG Options
We offer the following options:
Gym Membership
• Open gym access during published hours
Class Membership
• Unlimited classes
Premium Membership (Hybrid)
• Unlimited classes
• Open gym access during published hours
• Gym induction (if required)
Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG)
• Single class passes
• 3-class packs
PAYG options are intended for occasional use and are subject to availability.
3. Membership Term & Payments
• Memberships are subject to a 12-month minimum commitment
• Payments are made monthly in advance
• Membership fees are non-refundable
4. Cancellation Policy
• Members may cancel with 1 calendar month’s notice after the initial term
• If a member cancels, there will be a 3-month period before they can rejoin membership
• Rejoining is subject to membership availability at that time
• During this period, members may still attend using PAYG options
5. Membership Cap
We reserve the right to cap total membership numbers to maintain a safe, comfortable and high-quality training environment.
Once capacity is reached, new memberships and re-joins may not be available until space allows.
6. Class Bookings & Availability
• All classes must be booked in advance via our booking system

Class passes are subject to a maximum usage period and expiry date from the original date of purchase as follows:
Unused class credits cannot be refunded, transferred, extended, or reinstated once the pass has expired, so please ensure all credits are used within the applicable validity period.
Class bookings can only be made up to the expiry date of your active class pass and not beyond this date.
• Class spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis
• Membership includes access to classes but does not guarantee a space in any specific session
• If a class is fully booked, members and PAYG users will need to select an alternative session
We operate a priority booking window for members, after which any remaining spaces may be made available to PAYG users.
We reserve the right to:
• Amend the timetable
• Adjust class capacities
• Add or remove sessions as required
Our aim is to provide a wide range of classes across the week to ensure members have regular opportunities to train.
7. Late Cancellation & No-Show Policy
To ensure fair access to classes for all members:
We reserve the right to enforce this policy consistently to protect class availability and ensure fairness for all members.
8. Use of Facilities
Members agree to:
• Wear clean, appropriate footwear at all times
• Wipe down equipment after use using provided cleaning materials
• Return all equipment to its correct place after use
• Respect staff, other members, and the facility
Failure to follow these rules may result in suspension or termination of membership.
9. Staff Supervision & Personal Training
• Staff on site are present to supervise the safe use of the facility and equipment
• Staff are not responsible for providing individual coaching, programming or personal training unless a session has been specifically booked
• At times, staff may be engaged in personal training sessions with clients, and therefore may not be immediately available for general assistance
• Members are responsible for:
Using equipment correctly
Exercising within their own capabilities
Seeking guidance where needed before use
If you require additional support, we recommend booking a personal training session.
10. Conduct & Misuse of Membership
Memberships are strictly personal and non-transferable.
Members must not:
• Allow non-members access to the gym
• Share their membership or booking access
• Attempt to gain access for others
Any breach may result in:
• Immediate suspension or termination of membership
• Potential permanent ban from the facility
11. Health & Safety
• Members use the gym and equipment at their own risk
• A staff member trained to at least Level 2 Fitness Instructor and First Aid will be on site during operating hours
• Members are responsible for ensuring they are fit and able to exercise
If you have any medical conditions or injuries, you should seek medical advice before participating.
12. Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency:
• Call 999 immediately
• Follow staff instructions

13. Personal Belongings
• All personal belongings are brought onto the premises at your own risk
• We accept no responsibility for loss, theft or damage
14. Gym Access & Opening Hours
• Access is only permitted during published opening hours
• These may change from time to time
We reserve the right to:
• Adjust opening hours
• Close or reduce hours during quieter periods (including bank holidays, national holidays, and academic holiday periods)
• Operate a reduced class timetable during these times
• Close open gym access on bank holidays
We may also close all or part of the facility:
• For maintenance
• For private events or gym-hosted events
Where possible, notice will be given in advance.
15. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained while using the gym, except where caused by our negligence
• Members accept full responsibility for their use of the facilities
16. Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to:
• Suspend or terminate membership
• Refuse entry
If a member:
• Breaches these Terms & Conditions
• Acts in a way that is unsafe or inappropriate
• Damages equipment or property
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
17. Changes to Terms & Services
We may update:
• Membership pricing
• Opening hours
• Timetable
• These Terms & Conditions
Members will be notified where appropriate.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
